User Setup Guide
Learn how to get the most out of Remora's advanced features.
1. Adding Your IPTV Playlist
Remora supports 3 playlist formats: Standard M3U URL, Xtream Codes API (Server URL, Username, Password), and Stalker Portal (MAC address).
- Open Remora and navigate to the Sources / Settings tab.
- Tap "Add Playlist" and select your provider type.
- Enter your provider credentials and tap "Save & Fetch Channels".
- Your live channels and EPG schedules will be loaded automatically into the Home and Live TV tabs.
2. Using Dual-Screen Multi-View
Watch two live broadcasts at the same time on a single phone or tablet screen.
- Start playing any channel in the player.
- Tap the Dual-Screen icon in the player top toolbar.
- Select the second channel you want to watch alongside.
- Use the "Swap" button to exchange screen positions, or tap either screen to toggle its audio.
3. Connecting & Controlling Smart TVs
Control your Smart TV over Wi-Fi with touch gestures and D-Pad controls.
- Ensure your phone and Smart TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Remote TV tab in Remora.
- Select your TV brand (Samsung, LG, Android TV, Roku, Sony, Vizio, Fire TV).
- Tap "Connect / Discover" and approve the pairing request on your TV screen.
4. Recording Live TV (Stream Muxer)
Save broadcast events directly to high-quality MPEG-TS files on your storage.
- While watching any live broadcast, tap the red "REC" button on the player bottom bar.
- A recording indicator badge will display the recording elapsed time.
- Tap "Stop" to finish and automatically save the recording to SQLite Room and your local storage.
- Access and replay your recordings anytime in Settings → My Recordings.
5. Backup & Restoring Data
Easily transfer your playlists, favorites, and settings to another phone or Android TV.
- Go to Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Tap "Create Backup" to export a .json file to your device or Google Drive.
- On your new device, tap "Restore from File" and choose between "Merge" or "Overwrite".
