1. Strict IPTV Content Disclaimer

• Remora is strictly a media player and device control utility.
• Remora does NOT provide, host, sell, distribute, or include any media streams, playlists, or copyrighted content.
• Users are solely responsible for providing their own content (such as M3U playlists, Xtream Codes credentials, or Stalker portal details) obtained legally from authorized providers.
• Remora does not endorse or facilitate the unauthorized streaming of copyrighted material.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Locally Stored Data (On-Device Only)

The following information is stored strictly locally on your device in encrypted storage and is NEVER transmitted to external servers:

• IPTV Playlists & Configurations: Playlist names, stream URLs, authentication credentials (usernames, passwords, MAC addresses), and custom EPG URLs.
• Viewing Preferences: Favorite channels, recently watched history, aspect ratio settings, audio track selections, and parental control PINs.
• Paired TV Devices: IP addresses, device names, and authentication tokens for paired Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Sony, Roku, Android TV).

2.2. Network & Device Permissions

• Local Network Access (Wi-Fi / LAN): Required to discover and communicate with Smart TVs, DLNA renderers, and Cast devices on your local Wi-Fi network.
• Internet Access: Required to stream IPTV content from user-provided URLs and download EPG guide data.
• Notifications: Optional permission used solely to deliver program reminders configured by the user.

3. How We Use Information

We use on-device information strictly to deliver core app functionality: streaming user playlists, switching channels, controlling paired Smart TVs, and displaying TV guide schedules. We do NOT track your viewing habits or share personal data with third-party advertisers.

4. Data Security & Retention

All sensitive credentials (such as Xtream passwords and Parental PINs) are stored locally in secure app storage (Android Encrypted DataStore & Room Database). You can completely purge all stored data at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing app data in your device settings.
